摘要: Objectives The aim of the study was to estimate rates cardiovascular disease (CVD) events after stopping smoking in patients with HIV infection. Methods Patients who reported status and no previous CVD prior enrolment Data Collection on Adverse Events Anti-HIV Drugs (D:A:D) were included this study. Smoking is collected at each visit as current smoker (yes/no) ever (yes/no). Time since calculated for persons had during follow-up subsequently. Endpoints were: myocardial infarction (MI); coronary heart (CHD: MI plus invasive artery procedure or death from other CHD); (CHD carotid endarterectomy stroke); all-cause mortality. Event never, smokers, smokers stopped follow-up. Incidence rate ratios (IRRs) determined using Poisson regression adjusted age, sex, cohort, calendar year, family history CVD, diabetes, lipids, blood pressure antiretroviral treatment. Results A total 27 136 reported, totals 432, 600, 746 1902 MI, CHD, mortality events, respectively. The IRR decreased 2.32 within first year 1.49 >3 years compared those never smoked. Similar trends observed CHD endpoints. Reductions risk less pronounced mortality. Conclusion The HIV-positive increasing time smoking. cessation efforts should be a priority management patients.
