摘要: Lontra longicaudis is a top predator of freshwater systems currently categorized as ‘data deficient’ by the IUCN. Thus far, no genetic studies have been carried out in Argentina. Using 8 microsatellite loci, we analysed diversity and individual relatedness population located at Lower Delta Parana River, Our data, together with available information for other populations habitat suitability data obtained from species distribution models previously published, were used to test whether diversity, inbreeding, parentage coefficients are related both landscape regional scale. results show that levels heterozygosity found lowest reported date. A low overall degree between otter dyads was found. However, almost 20% showed values higher than 0.25, suggesting local reproduction. Finally, positive association quality heterozygosity, scale, highly suitable habitats, otters genetically more variable. study constitutes first one on genetics L.
