摘要: We have evaluated the changes in arterial blood pressure caused spontaneously hypertensive rats (SHR) by long-term intake of an Enterococcus faecalis CECT 5728-fermented milk with significant angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE)-inhibitory activity. After being weaned, male 3-week-old SHR were randomized into five groups. Until 20th week life, each group given one following drinking fluids: tap water (negative control 1), a fermented without ACE-inhibitory activity 2), captopril (100 mg/kg) (positive control), E. that had activity, or Ca-enriched milk. Animals different groups then as fluid from to 25th life. Systolic (SBP) and diastolic (DBP) measured weekly rats, 6th tail-cuff method. A definite decrease SBP DBP could be observed treated also received milks. The greatest antihypertensive effect was when pharmacological treatment administered. slightly more accentuated constant than not been enriched Ca. increased corresponding removed. Fermentation 5728 may therefore successful strategy produce functional food
