The instruments were developed tested Spanish English, reflecting local ethnic composition Newark Bay Complex. on women child-bearing age at Women, Infants, Children Center Elizabeth, New Jersey. Detailed diagrams both presentations, including species, preparation methods, food chain bioaccumulation transmission fetus. There few language-related differences lesson, main ideas understood groups. Where there significant understanding crabs waters Bay, all cases exposed lesson had better than those who read brochure. Ninety-six percent heard that it was unsafe eat port, compared 72% reading Both formats succeeded imparting most area under advisories, species toxins Information recalled less clearly, partly because asked relate reduce risk 11 presented, only three list. advantages disadvantages conducting short classes discussed.
