摘要: To determine the regional accuracy of computed tomography mediastinum in staging lung cancer, we compared results preoperative tomographic to pathologic findings lymph nodes taken at mediastinoscopy and/or thoracotomy 61 patients. Twenty-two patients had adenocarcinoma, 24 squamous cell carcinoma, eight large tumors, and seven small cancer or mixed cellular types. Sixteen Stage I, II, 37 III disease. Thirteen only, remaining 48 thoracotomy. Computed as a whole an 88% with negative predictive index 96.1%. In examining differential within found aortopulmonary window be inferior those other regions, 80% 83.3%. The reliability scan varied relative type. rate adenocarcinoma was 94.7% 70.6% carcinoma. is accurate for this holds over regions except window. more than cancer.
