摘要: The filling material should be restricted to the root canal, and not extend periradicular tissues. Overextension occurs when there is an overflow of gutta-percha sealer, whereas overfilling refers only sealer beyond apical foramen. Both may cause several negative clinical consequences. Nevertheless, accurate diagnosis where they occurred cannot always performed by conventional radiographic examination, because two-dimensional aspect image. This paper describes a case labiomandibular paraesthesia after into mandibular canal (MC), as diagnosed cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT), later used perform treatment planning. A 34-year-old Caucasian female patient sought private dental clinic complaining pain in right posterior region. After taking anamnesis performing exams, was with pulp necrosis second molar, underwent treatment. final radiography showed overextension or overfilling, probably MC. About 2 hours procedure, reported her lower lip chin. CBCT confirmed small For this reason, vitamin B12 prescribed first option. 7 days, significant decrease paraesthesia, completely normal 15 days. report shows that effective diagnostic tool can alternative cases caused overfilling.   Keywords Endodontic treatment; Overfilling; Paraesthesia; Conebeam tomography.
