摘要: The sol-gel technology has been applied to obtain SiO2 spheres of submicron size. have doped with YAG:Nd3+ nanocrystallites. nanocrystallites obtained from aqueous solutions citric acid, yttrium, aluminum and neodymium chlorides. gels heated up 800°C. Emission spectra as well the excited state lifetimes measured at room liquid nitrogen temperatures. structural characterization performed by means transmission scanning electron microscopies (TEM, SEM) powder diffraction (XRD) measurements. We observed that demonstrate pronounced dependence emission intensities on excitation power compared crystallites embedded into spheres. results suggest silica spheres/YAG:Nd3+ composites are expected be good hosts for microlaser systems.
