摘要: Laminarialean plants undergo heteromorphic alternation of generations between the macroscopic diploid sporophyte and microscopic haploid gametophyte. The change through formation release asexual or sexual reproductive cells. It is difficult to monitor diffusion zoospores into environment. Furthermore, even if can be detected, species identification remains difficult. This study attempted develop a sensitive fast method for laminarialean using quantitative PCR. In addition, we aimed estimate density in natural seawater. Specific primers Saccharina japonica Undaria pinnatifida were designed used quantity DNA samples (environmental DNA) collected from seawater once twice each month 2 years at same area, seasonal variations was monitored. estimated maturation period based on number released this comparable with those previously reported periods S. U. sporophytes. supports validity our estimating zoospore plants. will useful tool ecological studies these commercially relevant species.
