摘要: Summary Background Patients with COPD may share some clinical characteristics asthma sufferers. This phenotypic overlap between and is not yet well characterised. Method We have analysed data from the EPI-SCAN study, an epidemiological, population-based study in Spain that included 3885 (40 to 80-year-old) subjects order investigate systemic inflammatory of patients previously diagnosed asthma. Generic COPD-specific quality life, as physical activity, were also assessed through standardised validated questionnaires. Results A total 385 (10.1%) COPD, 67 (17.4%) being classified COPD–asthma phenotype. Such more likely dyspnea wheezing ( p x concentrations =0.013). phenotype significantly worsened specific life (11.1 units on St. George's Respiratory Questionnaire (SGRQ), 95%CI: 4.88–17.36) reduced activity (3.49 London Chest Activities Daily Living (LCADL) scale, 1.06–5.94). Conclusions In this 17.4% individuals identified had patient subgroup dyspnea, wheezing, exacerbations, worse respiratory-specific levels activity. Specific interventions be required adequately care for patients.
