摘要: Abstract We report on the characterization of a high brightness gaseous field ion source using an emitter made NiAl needle containing tiny spherical tungsten–carbon precipitates. By evaporation such multiphase alloy, surface protrusion is formed out precipitate, which can act as small size emitter. The emission current–voltage characteristics this were recorded for variety parameters. results obtained suggest that its application stable possible even long term operation.
