摘要: Background It remains controversial whether thymidylate synthase (TS) protein expression is associated with survival for patients non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Objective To evaluate prognostic and predictive significance of tumor TS level in NSCLC. Methods Electronic searches were performed relevant studies PubMed, EMBASE, Web Science, Chinese Biomedical Literature Database. Hazard ratios (HRs) overall (OS) progression-free (PFS) pooled meta-analysis. Subgroup sensitivity analyses performed. Publication bias was evaluated by funnel plot Begg's test. Results Twenty-four studies, including 2280 patients, eligible. This analysis showed that low had statistically significantly longer OS PFS than those high (HR=0.51 HR=0.49, respectively). Based on TS-targeted drug use status, pemetrexed (HR=0.42) 5-Fluorouracil subgroups (HR=0.34), but not no subgroup. There similar results analyses. Sensitivity indicated the robust. test did reveal any publication bias. Conclusion Low a favorable factor better OS/PFS NSCLC treated drugs. Prognostic value needs further validation.
