摘要: In the Whitehall study, 18,388 subjects aged 40-64 years completed a questionnaire on intermittent claudication. Of these subjects, 0.8% (147) and 1% (175) were deemed to have probable claudication possible claudication, respectively. Within 17-year follow-up period, 38% 40% of cases, respectively, died. Compared with without cases suffered increased mortality rates due coronary heart disease cerebrovascular disease, but rate noncardiovascular causes was not increased. Possible demonstrated cardiovascular causes. This difference in pattern may be chance. still showed all-cause after adjusting for risk factors (cardiac ischemia at baseline, systolic blood pressure, plasma cholesterol concentration, smoking behavior, employment grade, degree glucose intolerance). Intermittent is independently related rates. It rare condition, simple questionnaires exist its detection. The latter can usefully incorporated assessment screening programs.
