摘要: This study aimed to evaluate otter predation on stocked trout. Large hatchery-reared trout (16-30 cm) were into two Danish rivers with different fish populations. Otter diet before and after stocking was determined by analysing 685 spraints, collected regularly during the 35-day period. Fish composition in assessed electrofishing. In River Trend, a typical river, proportion of increased from 8% 33% few days stocking. Moreover, lengths changed significantly towards trout, indicating that newly preferred wild Skals, dominated cyprinids, there no change hatchery i.e., these ignored otter. should be taken account together bird predation, when is used as measure for conserving endangered salmonid
