摘要: Virtual channels (VCs) are a popular solution for the provision of quality service (QoS). Current interconnect standards propose 16 or even more VCs this purpose. However, most implementations do not offer so many because it is too expensive in terms silicon area. Therefore, reduction number necessary to support QoS can be very helpful switch design and implementation. In paper, we show that reduced if system considered as whole rather than each element being taken separately. The scheduling decisions made at network interfaces easily reused switches without significantly altering global behavior. way, obtain noticeable area, component count and, thus, power consumption, provide similar performance complex architecture. We also scalable technique, suitable foreseen demands traffic.
