摘要: Abstract Ablation behavior of ZrB 2 –SiC protective coating for carbon/carbon composites during oxyacetylene flame test at 2500 °C was investigated by analyzing the microstructure differentiation caused increasing intensity ablation from border to center surface. After ablation, a continuous SiO scale, porous layer inlaid with fine ZrO nuclei, and scale respectively emerged in region, transitional region. In order investigate initial stage, sub-layer characterized found be mainly formed coral-like structures , which showed huge difference structure on surface layer. A kinetic model concerning thickness change induced volatilization oxidation built explain different growth mechanisms structure.
