摘要: The use of oxidoreductases as biocatalysts for the production a wide number chiral building blocks is presently mature (bio-)technology. In this context some industrial applications are currently performed by means those enzymatic approaches, and new examples expected to be realized. Moreover, provide an interesting academic platform undertake fundamental research in enzymology, acquire better understanding on catalytic mechanisms, facilitate development biocatalytic applications. Within area, from genus Candida spp. have been characterized used biocatalysts. These enzymes rather diverse, able carry out many useful reactions, like highly (enantio)selective keto-reductions, (de)racemizations stereoinversions, promiscuous imine reductions. addition, dehydrogenases very regenerating cofactors, with aid sacrificial substrates. Addressing features, present paper aims give overview these enzymes, focusing practical that can provide. Furthermore, when possible, insights performances will discussed well.
