摘要: Surgery is the treatment of choice in patients with early stage NSCLC. However, results remain poor these patients. Lymph node involvement main prognostic factor NSCLC, but there still no clear definition number nodes required to consider a lymphadenectomy as complete. Although defined minimum lymph for complete lymphadenectomy, are some recommendations perform this procedure, published by different scientific societies. Current practice thoracic surgery regarding differs on points from guidelines recommendations, data mediastinal assessment between 30-45% according data. Different studies have probed fact that probability finding positive increases analyzed. Therefore, provides proper staging, which helps identify patient's real prognosis. Several nonrandomized and retrospective series shown survival group higher removed. There contraindication performing lymphadenectomy. The increase may be due more accurate staging. should mandatory even
