摘要: Chronic wounds that do not heal with standard wound care are a growing public healthcare concern. Wound costs associated lower extremity ulcers, such as venous leg pressure and diabetic foot place significant burden on systems severely the quality of life for patients. Advanced therapies needed to promote closure in recalcitrant wounds. Exogenous mesenchymal stem cell delivery endogenous bone marrow recruitment have been investigated advanced therapies, demonstrated promising potential enhancing preclinical clinical studies. The aim this book chapter is review healing process pathobiology chronic wounds, discuss current state therapies. role nano- micro-scale technologies addressing limitations will also be explored.
