摘要: Pollen forecasts are in use everywhere to inform therapeutic decisions for patients with allergic rhinoconjunctivitis (ARC). We exploited data derived from Twitter order identify tweets reporting a combination of symptoms consistent case definition ARC and those the name an antihistamine drug. In increase sensitivity system, we applied algorithm aimed at automatically identifying jargon expressions related medical terms. compared weekly trends National Allergy Bureau pollen counts US stations, found high correlation sum total each stations (Pearson’s coefficient: 0.95) drug names 0.93). Longitude latitude affected strength correlation. other social networks may play role disease surveillance signaling consumptions trends.
