摘要: Comparisons of body composition and metabolic changes among antiretroviral-naive patients randomly assigned to didanosine stavudine- (ddl + d4T) vs. abacavir lamivudine(ABC 3TC) containing regimens were assessed in a nested substudy an ongoing multicenter randomized trial. At baseline every 4 months, cell mass total fat calculated, anthropometric measurements performed, fasting parameters obtained. The rates change (unit/mo) estimated using the slopes regression lines overall mean from compared by study assignment. Among 96 enrolled, 46 received ddI d4T- 50 ABC 3TC-containing with median follow-up 32.4 months. For both arms, increase was seen for mass. ddl d4T, after initial increase, declined regional 3TC, 2 arms being significantly different (P < 0.05). high-density lipoprotein cholesterol change, d4T decreased, while 3TC increased. low-density triglycerides Early sustained increases insulin resistance only d4T. In this prospective study, varied according whether subjects or 3TC.
