Multipole moments of a rounded charge-distribution

摘要: Abstract The multipole moments of a diffuse-edge charge distribution have been calculated and compared to those obtained for uniform, or “square”, distribution. It is shown that serious errors may arise if single “equivalent uniform” radius used compute these quanttiites.
