摘要: With the vigorous development of nanometer-sized materials, nanoproducts are becoming widely used in all aspects life. In medicine, nanoparticles (NPs) can be as nanoscopic drug carriers and for nanoimaging technologies. Thus, substantial attention has been paid to potential risks NPs. Previous studies have shown that numerous types NPs able pass certain biological barriers exert toxic effects on crucial organs, such brain, liver, kidney. Only recently, directed toward reproductive toxicity nanomaterials. through blood-testis barrier, placental epithelial which protect tissues, then accumulate organs. NP accumulation damages organs (testis, epididymis, ovary, uterus) by destroying Sertoli cells, Leydig germ causing organ dysfunction adversely affects sperm quality, quantity, morphology, motility or reduces number mature oocytes disrupts primary secondary follicular development. addition, disrupt levels secreted hormones, changes sexual behavior. However, current review primarily examines toxicological phenomena. The molecular mechanisms involved system not fully understood, but possible include oxidative stress, apoptosis, inflammation, genotoxicity. increase apoptosis induce ROS, damage at genetic results cytotoxicity. This provides an understanding applications system.
