摘要: We examine the conditions under which multiple ionization of xenon, strong radiation photon energy 93 eV and pulse duration 10 fs, leading up to Xe21 + can be observed. Through a set rate equations, we show that dominant sequential channels are sufficient for consistent with observed ionic species. Addressing possible role giant resonance in this context, evaluate evolution neutral is responsible resonance, examining its depletion during pulse. that, owing large value cross section combination duration, as intensity rises towards peak value, depleted very early, at lower intensities, thus precluding exposure higher intensities above 1015 W cm−2. But do point out much shorter direct many-electron ejection may possibility, but not presently available FEL (free electron laser) facilities.
