摘要: Nowadays, thermoplastic materials, which represent a risk of the high melt flow fire spread, are widely used in construction industry. The thermoplastic’s drips will accelerate downward flame spread and fall into pool fires appears at foot wall fires. Fire develop to larger soon because mutual enhancement mechanism. In this paper, new experimental setup is quantitatively analyze burning characteristics different steady mass feeding rates. PP (polypropylene), PE (polyethylene) PS (polystyrene) polymers selected as test materials were heated be molten phase by electric heater. N2 gas continuously injected chamber avoid sudden ignition. parameters including dripping rate, flowing rate hot liquids, radiant flux analyzed. experiment results preliminarily suggest that liquids induced easier drop than PS. Therefore, may more dangerous for their faster on floor. Meanwhile, higher PP, although slowest its large viscosity. For rates, three becomes faster. It also indicates process surface tension front do not coincide with Specifically, or slower forward movement liquids. reason these combustion mentioned above related viscosity structures thermoplastics, well pyrolysis thermoplastics.
