摘要: The objective of this work is to quantitatively study the burning characteristics thermoplastics. A new experimental setup with a T-shape trough designed. Based on setup, loop mechanism between wall fire and pool fires induced by melting dripping thermoplastic can be well simulated studied. Additionally, flowing also analyzed. Experiments are conducted for PP PE sheets different thicknesses. maximum distances flame in recorded typical parameters, such as heat release rates (HRRs), CO concentrations monitored. results show that softening clinging plays considerable role their vertical burning. It illustrated sheet may mainly related temperatures ignition thermoplastics, viscosity coefficients. Through comparing thicknesses, it indicated materials easier flow away than materials. Therefore, more dangerous faster spread floor. These preliminarily illustrate helpful studying special feature thermoplastics although further modifications needed future.
