摘要: During the anaerobic digestion of wastewater treatment sludge, commonly called biosolids, an energy rich biogas is formed which now considered as renewable source and widely used for production heat and/or electricity. Pre-treatment methods, achieve a transformation refractory COD into readily available soluble BOD, have potential to enhance biogas-production. This paper studies several peroxidation techniques this purpose: well-known Fenton novel reactions involving peroxymonosulphate (POMS) dimethyldioxirane (DMDO). The results treatments show considerable increase BOD in sludge water, BOD/COD ratio. was moreover seen significantly. A maximum 75% measured with Fenton, while POMS increased by factor nearly 2, against even higher 2.5 DMDO treatment. methane content remained between 65 70%, thus maintaining its heating value.
