摘要: Abstract Thermally assisted hydrolysis and methylation (THM) with tetramethylammonium hydroxide (TMAH) was performed on spruce milled wood lignin (MWL) in order to investigate THM parameters. The objective the maximization of information structure. main emphasis laid formation monomer derivatives intact propane side chain, as these fragments are thought be indicators favourable conditions. In tested temperature range (310–710 °C) lowest 310 °C found produce highest yield monomers. elution unmethylated monomers, such phenols methoxyphenols, also minimized at 310 °C. addition, a number different TMAH sample ratios were applied. most increased by using concentration, whereas some products, phenol, unaffected. Methanol solvent for compared an aqueous solution same concentration respect influence degradation product yields. 3,4-dimethoxybenzoic acid methyl ester 3,4-dimethoxybenzaldehyde decreased when methanol used. At last prolonged incubation time TMAH–sample mixture shown useful enhance especially chain case application low ratio.
