摘要: Abstract School health records of 332 children through the eighth grade were examined in a retrospective comparative analysis physical status and school achievement from Head Start Free School Lunch Programs. The objective was to determine if nutrition early lives as part comprehensive education program such produces greater or different benefits for disadvantaged than intervention later free lunches when child enters school. Cross-sectional longitudinal, case-study approaches used analysis. A group no-food-program advantaged served comparisons. Results showed that performed better on all parameters compared with children, regardless form intervention. Measures did not differ those comparison group, but there significant differences measures between groups. Fewer boys Project fell below 25th percentile height Program. also scored higher fitness had fewer reported absences due illness.
