摘要: Rice tungro spherical virus (RTSV) consists of a single-stranded RNA genome about 12 kilobases that contains one large open reading frame, ORF 1 and two small ORFs 2 3 at its 3′ end (Shen et al., 1993, Virology 193:621–630); it was suggested expressed via frameshift. To study the genomic information RTSV variation between different isolates, half Philippine isolate parts Thai an Indian were cloned sequenced. Significant sequence differences found in non-translated region. Additional stop codons have been revealed previously described several independent clones from three most conserved codon middle being confirmed by direct sequencing. These results suggest could only express peptide 5 kDa instead as proposed earlier. Polyclonal antisera raised against proteins fusions with glutathione-S-transferase. Using these we failed to detect any virus-specific peptides extracts infected rice plants preparations. The nucleotide our isolates does not contain repeat 256 nucleotides published sequence. indicate unusually long non-coding region 1240 length.
