摘要: The relationship between psychologic variables (the match repressive style and level of cardiac information, anxiety level) medical complications, re-stenosis (renarrowing), psychosocial adjustment was studied in 97 patients undergoing percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA) for treatment narrowed arteries. Three major findings emerged outcomes measured 6 months after PTCA: repressors with a high information (coping style-information mismatch) no history heart attack were at higher risk late complications (p less than 0.001); sensitizers low whose PTCA only moderately successful the artery previously widened during 0.01); who more anxious hospitalization had poorer social functioning mood disturbance 0.05). Thus, psychologic, factors are important predicting 6-month PTCA.
