摘要: Chapter Summary Successful pregnancies are contingent upon proper development and function of the placental vitelline circulations. In early pregnancy, materno–fetal exchange occurs solely at yolk sac through circulation. mice, this remains a vital source blood flow to term. Indeed, removal bed results in embryonic lethality or, late term, fetal growth restriction. Later gestation (post gd 12.5) predominantly between uteroplacental circulation, low resistance that delivers oxygen nutrient rich maternal labyrinthine region, capillary-rich fetoplacental which carries nutrients embryo via umbilical vein. Mouse studies, using variety methods for visualization quantification, have greatly enhanced our knowledge how each these circulations develops. Further, subtle differences mouse strains highlight importance genetics vascular development.
