摘要: Background: To increase the acceptability of influenza vaccine, it is important to quantify overall benefits vaccination programme. Aim: assess impact in Portugal, Spain and Netherlands, we estimated number medically attended influenza-confirmed cases (MAICC) primary care averted seasons 2015/16 2017/18 among those ≥65 years. Methods: We used an ecological approach estimate impact. compared observed MAICC (n) that would have occurred without programme (N). N, we used: (i) from surveillance systems, (ii) vaccine coverage, (iii) pooled (sub)typespecific effectiveness estimates for 2017/18, weighted by proportion virus circulation each season country. We estimated (NAE) prevented fraction (PF) Results: The annual average NAE population years was 33, 58 204 per 100,000 respectively. On average, 10.7%, 10.9% 14.2% potential season in these countries. lowest PF 2016/17 (4.9–6.1%) with ranging 24 69 100,000. Conclusions: Our results suggest programmes reduced a substantial MAICC. Together studies on hospitalisations deaths programmes, this will contribute evaluation strategies strengthen public health communication.
