摘要: Scavenger receptors comprise a large family of structurally diverse proteins that are involved in many homeostatic functions. They recognize wide range ligands, from pathogen-associated molecular patterns (PAMPs) to endogenous, as well modified host-derived molecules (DAMPs). The liver deals with blood micro-organisms and DAMPs released injured organs, thus performing vital metabolic clearance functions require the uptake nutrients toxins. Many cell types, including hepatocytes Kupffer cells, express scavenger play key roles hepatitis C virus entry, lipid uptake, macrophage activation, among others. Chronic disease causes high morbidity mortality worldwide. Hepatitis infection, alcohol abuse, non-alcoholic fatty main etiologies associated this disease. In context, continuous inflammation result damage leads hepatic fibrosis, which frequently brings about cirrhosis ultimately hepatocellular carcinoma. review, we will summarize role pathophysiology chronic diseases. We also emphasize their potential biomarkers advanced disease, cancer.
