摘要: The indirect, labeled antibody and peroxidase-antiperoxidase complex (PAP) methods were studied to determine their sensitivity in detecting carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) conventionally processed specimens of morphologically normal human colon mucosa. CEA-positive staining was demonstrated 13 19 reacted with the PAP method, whereas only 4 these stained positive procedure. Detection CEA either technique unrelated mucosa content as determined by radioimmunoassay. Tissue fixation 95% ethanol 1% acetic acid (EA) resulted an enhanced defined cytoplasmic cell lining mucosal surface upper levels glandular crypts. Cytoplasmic localization Formalin-fixed absent or markedly reduced. Colon goblet cells small intestinal epithelium CEA-negative both Formalin- EA-fixed specimens. These results show that immunoperoxidase method is more sensitive than procedure Furthermore, tissues fixed EA a product columnar epithelial not associated cells.
