摘要: We present a total of 4784 unique broad absorption line quasars from the Sloan Digital Sky Survey Third Data Release. An automated algorithm was used to match continuum each quasar and identify regions flux at least 10% below over velocity range 1000 km s-1 in C Mg regions. The model selected as best-fit set template spectra binned luminosity, emission width, redshift, with power-law spectral index amount dust reddening additional free parameters. characterize our sample through traditional "balnicity" revised index, well parameters such outflow velocity, fractional depth, number troughs. From 16,883 1.7 ≤ z 4.38, we 4386 (26.0%) absorption, which 1756 (10.4%) satisfy selection criteria. 34,973 0.5 2.15, 457 (1.31%) 191 (0.55%) also provide supplementary list 39 visually identified > 4.38 absorption. find that may have broader lines on average than other quasars.
