摘要: The classification and definition of adenocarcinomas the esophagogastric junction (EGJ) have not been standardized, choice surgical procedures is still subject controversy. In contrast to decreasing frequency gastric cancer squamous cell carcinomas esophagus, a number studies from various western industrialized nations reported an increased incidence esophagus cardia in last 30 years. Studies population-based registries United States, Kingdom, Switzerland indicated rapid increase adenocarcinoma EGJ (Devesa et al. 1998; Bollschweiler 2001, 2002; Sharma 2003). reasons for this remain unclear; however, causes are being discussed, such as malignant potential Barrett mucosa etiologic factors, obesity, dietary alcohol, pharmaceutical agents, tobacco (Bollschweiler 2001).
