摘要: Abstract Backward linkages refer to the various inter-firm relationships connecting an industry with its supply chain. Demand–supply interactions between producer firms and suppliers of original equipment, strategic inputs, components specialised services have played important role in evolution South African mining sector, contributing indirectly employment creation, new business growth expansion, improved efficiency operations, knowledge generation. This paper presents a case study backward linkage development platinum group metals (PGM) draws on findings from quantitative qualitative analysis sector undertaken 2007. A profile chain is provided assessment made strength sustainability existing linkages.
