摘要: Background: Dermatophytes are the main cause of human superficial mycosis that is still a public health problem especially in tropical countries such as Iran. Objective: The aim this study was determining antifungal effect Hypercom perforatum essential oil. Methods: minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) and fungicidal (MFC) for oil plant Hypericum against various dermatophytes were determined. obtained by hydro distillation dried plant. Clinical isolates (Epidermophyton floccosum, Microsporum canis, gypseum, T. mentagrophytes var. interdigital, mentagrophytes., rubrum Trichophyton tonsurans) used activity vitro tube dilution technique. Results: MIC90 MFC90 values remarkable. interdigital showed a>1 log10 difference viable count between treatment control within first hour, whereas E. floccosum did not. H. sufficiently inhibited killed all tested different dilutions. changes growth curve treated significant compared with untreated dermatophytes. Conclusion: Terpinen-4-ol component perforatum, perhaps could play important role antidermatophyte among other components. It suggested trying in-vivo effects ointment or its medicinal forms controlling infections.
