摘要: We investigated the effects of statin on lipoproteins, vasomotor function, serologic markers infl ammation, plaque stability, thrombogenicity, and mechanism regulation compared with Step I Diet. Sixty-three patients angiographically documented coronary artery disease were enrolled in this study. All Canadian Cardiovascular Society class or II. taught placed American Heart Association Diet throughout study period. Data baseline characteristics participants brachial endothelium-dependent reactivity, as well lipoprotein levels, stability blood have been reported previously are listed Tables 1 2. The 2 groups age- gender-matched. Mean age was 62 years, 13 32 men. risk factors hypertension (68% vs 72%; diet placebo group simvastatin group, respectively), diabetes (23% 25%), current smoking (35% 31%). proportion medications -adrenergic blockers (81% 81%), calcium channel (48% 47%), angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors 28%), long-acting nitrates 84%), aspirin (84% 88%). administered (n 31) 20 mg/day 32) a randomized order for 14 weeks using singleblind prospective design. approved by Gil Hospital Institutional Review Board, all gave written informed consent. Blood samples laboratory assays obtained at approximately 8:00 A.M. following an overnight fast after pretreatment weeks. immediately coded so that investigators performing blinded to subject identity sequence. Assays lipoproteins plasminogen activator inhibitor type-1 (PAI-1) antigens performed described. Tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-, matrix metalloproteinase (MMP)-9, tissue (TIMP)-1, C-reactive protein (CRP), fi brinogen, antithrombin III measured duplicates enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (R & D Systems, Minneapolis, Minnesota) rate nephelometry (IMMAGE; Beckman Coulter, Brea, California) 3–5 Tissue (TF) pathway (TFPI) activity duplicate actichrome (American Diagnostica, Greenwich, Connecticut) described.5,6 from same patient (batch samples) pairs kit minimize run-to-run variability. interassay intraassay coeffi cients variation 6%. expressed mean SD median (range 25% 75%). After testing data normality, we used Student’s paired t Wilcoxon’s signed rank test compare values between treatment
