Macro- and micronutrient intakes in picky eaters: a cause for concern?

摘要: Background Picky eating (PE) is characterized by an unwillingness to eat certain foods and strong food preferences. PE may result in lower intakes of energy nutrients, which compromise health. Objectives We quantified nutrient group children identified as picky eaters or nonpicky compared between groups with United Kingdom reference intakes. Design was observational cohort (Avon Longitudinal Study Parents Children) from questionnaires administered when were aged 2, 3, 4.5, 5.5 y. Dietary intake assessed at 3.5 7.5 y a 3-d record.
