摘要: Thymoma is the most common tumor of anterior mediastinum. This associated with unique paraneoplastic syndromes (myasthenia gravis, pure red cell aplasia, hypogammaglobulinemia, and other autoimmune diseases). The rarity this has somewhat obscured optimal treatment. Although histologic classification thymoma remained a subject controversy for many years, WHO system, published in 1999, appeared to be an advance our understanding thymoma. treatment depends on its clinical stage. Surgery remains mainstay thymic epithelial tumors. Thymomas also have high response rate chemotherapy or radiotherapy. Only surgical resection performed patients stage I (non-invasive) value postoperative radiotherapy completely resected II III tumors questionable. Multimodality therapy involving surgery, appears increase complete survival advanced (stage IV) thymomas.
