摘要: The capability of performing quick recognition particles with high transverse momentum (more than a few GeV/c) in the inner tracker is deemed essential to keep CMS trigger rate at an acceptable level higher luminosity LHC (L > 1034 cm−2 s−1). We present architecture for novel tracking module based on combination pixelated sensor short strip that would offer such capability. critical aspects design as projected power consumption, resulting material budget, and data flow model are discussed estimates given. It also shown manufacturable this type well within capabilities currently available microelectronic packaging-assembly technologies.
