Research on rupture and drawing behavior of SEPS/HDPE composites.

摘要: We examine the stretching behavior of rubber–plastic composites composed a layer styrene-ethylene/propylene–styrene (SEPS) rubber, bonded to linear high density polyethylene (HDPE) plastic. In tension, SEPS showed homogeneous deformation, whereas pure HDPE usually break in tensile process. tested bilayer and trilayer structure separately. For bilayer, experiment result proved that by bonding layer, can be stretched higher degree without failure, composite laminates intermediate between plastic rubber. For trilayer, dog-bone shaped samples plastic, SEPS/HDPE with rubber: thickness ratio range 0.417-3.625 were subjected uniaxial tension tests. The local stretch maximum was quantified force-extension measurements digital image correlation analysis video recordings these specimen brittleness also reduced. Under same strain rate, necking drawing reducing as increased.
