摘要: Ten patients with autonomic nervous system dysfunction (familial dysautonomia, juvenile diabetes, or Shy-Drager syndrome) were studied to assess the impact of their impairment on breathing during sleep. Several types sleep identified independent patients' primary complaints. Obstructive apnea syndrome was most common; central and disturbances te respiratory oscillator also seen. Esophageal reflux found be cause some sleep-related problems. The observed irregularities not associated usual cardiac response; a "decoupling" heart rate from cycle noted in these patients.
