摘要: Shared decision making (SDM) is an approach to medical care based on collaboration between provider and patient, with both sharing in decisions. When patients' values preferences are incorporated making, more appropriate, ethically sound, often lower cost. However, SDM difficult implement routine practice because of the time required for methods, lack integration approaches into electronic health record (EHR) systems, absence explanatory mechanisms providers results use aids. This article discusses potential solutions, including concept a "personalize button" EHRs. Leveraging 4-phase clinical model SDM, this describes how computer support (CDS) technologies integrated EHRs can help ensure that delivered way respectful those preferences. The architecture described herein, called CDS built recognized standards currently certification requirements as part meaningful regulations. While additional work needed modeling techniques rapid communication models clinicians, unless redesigned around during encounters, they likely continue be unintended barrier SDM. With appropriate development, could powerful tool promote by reminding situations monitoring ongoing treatments consistent
