摘要: This paper presents a tunable CMOS directional coupler that utilizes lumped-element L-C sections. The approach used to build the makes it possible integrate onto single monolithic microwave integrated circuit (MMIC), as occupies small area compared printed designs. uses varactors and active inductors (TAIs) synthesize series shunt reactances, respectively, which allows extensive electronic control over coupling coefficient, while insuring low return loss very high isolation. Furthermore, using TAIs be reconfigured for operation wide range of frequencies. Moreover, symmetric configuration switch from forward backward by simply exchanging bias voltages applied across varactors. MMIC was fabricated in standard 0.13-mum process operates 1.5-V supply. 730 mum times 600 mum, is capable achieving coefficients 1.4 7.1 dB, maintaining an isolation higher than 41 dB. also operating at any center frequency 2.1-3.1-GHz with 40-dB achieves -4.1-dBm 1-dB compression point
