Memory effect in a Sr-Ba-Nb-O crystal observed in permittivity and dilatation after removal of an electric field

摘要: Abstract The time dependences of (i) permittivity and (ii) dilatation a relaxor ferroelectric Sr0.61Ba0.39Nb2O6 single crystal after removal an external electric field (E0 = 3.5 kV/cm) at low temperatures 4 K < To 300 are measured. After critical tc the relaxation curves change their slope. Surprisingly, value correlates with waiting tw (15 min 1200 min) during which specimen was exposed to field. memory effects observed along c axis around typical temperature Tm 70 K.
