摘要: Abstract The H 2 effusion from saturated glass powders, permeation through the wall of blown bulbs, and capillaries were applied to evaluate permeability hydrogen gas in a barium-aluminoborosilicate (BABS) glass. To validate these methods, two commercial glasses (vitreous silica borosilicate) used as reference. Permeation values obtained different experiments agreed within factor 3 or less. BABS at temperatures close ambient was found be least orders magnitude below that borosilicate glasses. powder method, which requires minimal sample preparation efforts, turned out provide easy access measurement down P  = 3.9 × 10 − 21  mol s − 1  Pa  m .
