摘要: Gene-environment interactions have the potential to shed light on biological processes leading disease, identify individuals for whom risk factors are most relevant, and improve accuracy of epidemiological models. We review progress that has been made in investigating gene-environment field breast cancer. Although several large-scale analyses carried out, only a few significant reported. One these, an interaction between CASP8-rs1045485 alcohol consumption replicated, but others not, including LSP1- rs3817198 parity, 1p11.2-rs11249433 ever being parous. False positive may arise if gene environment correlated causal variant is less frequent than tag SNP. conclude while much this area it still too soon tell whether will fulfil their promise. Before we can make assessment need replicate (or refute) reported interactions, variants underlie tag-SNP associations validate next generation
