摘要: Two major sources of information in medicine and biology are time dependent recordings biosignals different forms imaging. Whilst technology has made rapid progress, quantitative analysis techniques for supporting diagnostics therapy control have lagged behind. A reason lies the requirement to characterize complex structures - either temporal patterns or image structures–reliably, reproducibly with sufficient precision that technique may qualify as an accepted tool experts use. New techniques, based on fundamental nonlinear approaches, which originally been developed astronomical images series were transferred into medical biological systems. In this chapter, first theoretical approach is outhned some easily understood examples. Then selected applications areas atomic force imaging, skin cancer detection, tumor diagnostics, heart rate variability discussed greater detail.
